Question about incentive sites

I'm not planning an incentive site, but I have a question on how they're run. You give the customer who did an offer points or prizes for completion, but how do you track which customer converted? I can't see how it wouldn't be confusing and impossible to sort out if you have several customers saying they completed an offer for points.
 


Thanks, I didn't see the earlier thread. How many people are still doing these? When I changed my profile at the networks to non-incentive, I was approved for far more offers.
 
It almost seems to be never-ending in how many people think they will make boatloads of easy money with incentive sites. They will spend hours clicking away for a few cents or trying to time their cancellations so that they get credit for various signups without being actually charged. It takes less time and effort to build a real business but many don't realize that or don't want to work at it.
 
There's a cottage industry of people who frequent the sites and make a profitable business of exploiting the sites and the deals. I suspect the people doing this stuff are more canny than the people running the sites.

you would recommend buying banner ads there or getting a subforum or something else?

any other forums/sites to market incentive sites that you would suggest?

I get a feeling you're right there.

One of our newer affiliates runs an incent site, and we just got a whole heap of fraudulent traffic out of them. They claim they didn't run it themselves and seemed genuinely upset when we started questioning it...
Apparently they then got a whole slew of emails, from different addresses but the same IP, asking why the incent commission hadn't been paid out yet.

So I get the feeling that some people are using them as a sort of new advance fee fraud scheme.
Steal a bunch of CC#, use them on incent sites, and hope that you get your incent payout before the chargebacks start rolling in.
