Question about subdomains for landing pages

Hi everyone, newbie here.

I used to hang out on boring Warrior Forum and lame DP, but since I stumbled on this place I haven't gone back. WickedFire is awesome! I've seen so much great info here, kudos to you all.

I just have a question about using subdomains for landing pages. I have a 4-letter domain that I'd like to use subdomains as landing pages for. Like, for example, dating.site.com and ipod.site.com, for instance. Would this be alright, or would I be better off buying domains instead?

Also, could you tell me if the main site's landing page is good enough to satisfy Google's Quality Score requirements? The URL is http://www.hxeo.com. I'd also like to use subdomains on it as well.

Please let me know what you all think, I anxiously await your expert advice.
