Question about Uniques

I have a domain that I registered this winter. I started a blog on there and lost interest in updating it.

However, in cPanel I see it's averaging 300-350 uniques per day in the
"Direct address / Bookmarks" line of awstats.

Does this mean that it's coming from folks typing in the url in the browser?

I can type the two keywords in my title into Google and hit the 1st page.

Without divulging too much about the site, do you guys think this has much potential? If need to know the site address, PM me and we can chat. I'm not ready to start listing my sites here on WF, just yet.

Uniques does not constitute that they accessed your site via typing your URL in the browser. Unique traffic can also come from SE's, ads, etc. - each traffic having a unique IP address.

SE spiders could be accounting for some of these direct hits. I wouldnt really trust that # too much.

Would posting my full cPanel stats let you make a better estimat? I do see some spidering going on.

Yeah, post your stats. Unique hits are just any visitor coming from anywhere with a unique IP address. If it is the part of the stats I'm thinking of, then you must be averaging that many unique hits per day. Awstats usually takes the spiders out automatically and lists it in a different section.

Ok, here are a couple of sections from my awstats. Any advice? I've not put up a new post on this thing since November-ish. It's the monthly uniques I was referring to.
