I'm curious about the way QS is determined and the quality of content. Does it have to be original? Obviously, from an SEO/organic traffic standpoint, original content is better. But can you put a bunch of rehashed articles on a site and have a high QS because the content is relevant? It would be loads faster and cheaper than having it all written, though not long term.

What do you think?

Anyone know how long it takes to boost QS?

E.g. say I get a new domain and add 1000 RSSM pages on it and start up AdWords... instant high quality score or 13 dollar clicks?

im pretty sure all new campaigns with new urls will get great qs for the first day.

Mason is correct. Most campaign will start off with good to great quality scores depending on the initial crawl. They may drop within the first 24 hours to OK-poor. The key is determining as fast as possible if the keyword will bring you any conversions.

For the record, a Poor QS with $10.00 Min CPC is the equivlent of Google telling you go to fuck yourself. A poor QS with a 1.00 CPC is Google saying your campaign is meh, but it's good enough to still take your money.

No clue, but i'd be really curious to see the results of a study on this.

IMO, the extra effort/money required to make the articles quality and actually beneficial to your visitors is totally worth it.

If i wanted to buy something but was checking out the articles and noticed they were from somewhere else / poorly written / unrelated, I would be very skeptical about buying from such a "spammy" site.

Almost every ad I have put up great QS immediately..24 hours later is the test.

The following is what i do for great QS

Keyword relates to the ad which relates to...

Unique URL ------>H1 tags---->Unique content---->sprinkled in targeted anchor text (based on search query volume)------>H3 tags---->image tags (us em they count)-----> static links to other pages------>wash, repeat with other pages

Unique content is the best, if you must scrape make sure you reshape and no that doesn't mean erase one sentence.
