Questions about blogger and SEO

Assuming that I am going use blogger, do I need to optimize each post for my main keyword?


Can I use a single post to target a different keyword that is related to the topic?

Are there important things about the first post in the blog related to seo that I should know about?

Sorry if I seem troublesome, I am just overwhemled with all the information and I feel pretty confused

You need to write interesting articles, do not think about seo, first of all think about your visitors.

I haven't decieded yet, I want to match the topic to the keywords (that I am still searching for)

Consider this seconded by a guy who's been doing this for years. First write content that a user will get something out of, then modify it to include keywords you think you can rank for.

When you focus on giving your visitors valuable content, they will find you. The traffic will start to flow on it's own after a while even if you don't focus on SEO.

My first "big" website started out exactly that way. After about a month of good content, I was getting about 300 uniques a day, resulting in about $30 from AdSense. That was in the good 'ol days though and with a high paying niche. Not sure if I could get that same result with AdSense again. Wouldn't try though - so many better ways to make money while helping people out.
