I'm seeing EPCs on some networks under $.005 and lots of volume.

How are people getting traffic so dirt cheap?

I know traffic in some countries is cheap... but lots of volume and under half a cent? :eek:

Where are people getting this traffic? Is it banner/media buys, CPM bidding, foreign countries and there ad happens to get a good CTR?

Anybody know what ad networks have dirt cheap CPM prices for foreign countries and relatively good quality?
 


Can you trust those EPC numbers as actually being remotely accurate? Maybe its just someone sending a bunch of junk traffic to an offer and dropping the network EPC so low.
 
I doubt they are even paying for the traffic. It's probably piss poor spam traffic which is bringing the network average EPC down. For all you know people are running that offer at $.10 EPC while paying $.05 for traffic.

Dirt cheap and good quality doesn't mix well.
 
Yeah don't trust those figures. Test the offer yourself! If it's targeted traffic you will see results. And if not, drop it.
 
Ignore network EPC's.

If epc is extremely low then there's probably guys direct linking with PPV.

What's more useful is getting an excel report of the top offers on the network by revenue. If the offers are generating a lot of revenue, means some guys are out there banking from it.
 
Yeah, I think I concluded that it's ppv traffic.

For the most part I ignore them, but wanted to figure out how it could even be profitable at that low of an epc because I saw it on several offers, a few of which were private offers
 
Network EPCs are really diluted - it's not to judge an offer by it's network EPC.
