Removing Wordpress Title When Adding Custom Header

Hey guys. When I am adding custom headers to Wordpress blogs, in order to remove the automatically displayed title I have been just removing the title from general settings. Because I assumed that since I have Platinum SEO plugin installed (and All-in-One SEO plugin on some) that I can just have the title entered there and it will show up to search engines. Is that mistaken thinking? Somebody told me I can't do that, but I'm not sure that person understands what the SEO plugin is.

Hmmm. What I just did to try to make sure my blog title will get properly read by the search engines was go into header.php and I commented out the h1 tag with <!-- -->. My understanding is that even though the browser ignores it it still gets properly spidered. But I'm not totally sure on that either.

What exactly do you want to achieve?
Have your own unique Page title for your home page?

Using the All in One plugin should take care of that.
