RSS sites network

Hey - I'm just planning out a network of rss sites and was wondering whether to use a new domain for each site, or subdomains... (But then I suppose I would have to use a pretty generic domain)

What do you reckon?

Anyone else done anything similar?

If you don't know it will work.. why spend money on domains ?
use one domain.. try to learn about.com site structure
