I would like to find an affiliate program that collects data from people, and distributes the info to churches for religious outreach.

This was my Agnostic epiphany, but I can't find the program I'm looking for online. Is there a network that has an account like this? Churches are always looking to peddle their dogma, and an affiliates program like this would be an effective way to do it.

Actually I doubt that any church will have an open affiliate program. You'll most likely have to approach the church directly and see if they offer anything. After all, the goal of the church is to take your money and get you to believe the bullshit they spew out.

Christianity or Scientology, is there really a difference?

Speaking of Scientology, they peddle lots of stuff, might be a good place to start.

Churches would probably not call it an affiliate program; they would likely use softer words like associate, helper, partner, etc. I would like to approach the larger evangelicals once my site goes live and be an affiliate, and I think they might taken an interest, as this is likely a new approach to the thump.

If I set myself up with a church as an affiliate, how would I get paid? There's no formal network to track my payments. I would have to wait for JC to cut my check?

Blue,
Interested in working with prayeranswer?
I am going to be going door to door with info for pastors/priests and getting them to send their peeps to the site. In return they get a profile on their church and the biggest/best churches get listed on the main page.

Will give them more foot traffic for sure.

We could work something out.

I honestly don't know. Maybe we could trade links or something. I don't understand your site very well and how it's funded.

I'm not sure how you'd get paid, but look at someone like Tom Cruise. Scientology spends mega bucks to keep that guy happy. We are talking multi million dollar birthday party's, covering his wedding, ect.

Could be interesting to be an Uber Church Affiliate.

Why would you want to help churches spread their bullshit, even for money? This world is stupid enough as it is. Do something good and burn one down instead. We could work something out. $500 per church. If you can do some volume (like 5 per day) i can bump it to $600 per church.

I've peddled junk to the religious before. My logic was, "Hey, they're retarded enough to believe in fairy tales, so they're retarded enough to buy / sign up for crap."

I stopped doing it because the subject matter started to make me sick, so I wasn't working / expanding anything.

Hahahah.

I was just thinking that religious advertising might be more trouble than it's worth at my site, being that it may conflict with the other types of ads I want to run like dating services.

If the religious thing is a dud, I'd pull it and run the hot dating ads again.

If you can get one in a book club or a mailing list and sell them shit... they will buy a new jesus book every single week.

Best market in the entire US. You just have to sell them religious jewelry etc.

Cool beans, but who's running the programs?

If you can tap the evangelicals.... do it.

I think the Army has that market covered. They tend to have a lot of money to advertise. Good luck tapping that market.

You're probably right; I'm trying to be expansive about my advertising possibilities.

How were your conversions?

How were your conversions?

Pretty meh, had a few, nothing substantial. But by no means should you take that as any indicator of the potential of the market. It CAN be done, and quite well I'm sure, it just turned out that it wasn't for me.

Conversions! Get it? Get it? :Yahoo_29:

Seriously though, the religious dating niche seems to work if you can target it right.
I have a friend who solidly identifies as a Catholic and uses those religious dating sites and met up wit ha few of the people he'd been chatting to.

For the people in Sydney during WYD the other month, goddamn did some of those kids need to get laid or what?
I think a lot of them were, actually, but Pope BeneSith said to wait until marriage, so I could be wrong.

Check into online religious books or even those online biblical school degree they offer, like become a pastor in 2 weeks or something. I don't know if they have an affiliate program, but it is the only other thing I could think of to market to them.
