Not that we dont' have enough "I got slapped by Google threads", but this one is interesting because the site that was slapped had Radio's Auction2Post ebay plugin, which kicks ass, but Adwords doesn't seem to like that much.

Even with the plugin creating individual posts with good content, after a month, the slap came down. During that time, I had 10/10 QS for nearly every keyword in my campaign...that's how good the content is initially viewed when the A2P converts the ebay auctions into posts. But obviously a person ends up doing a manual review and sinks the campaign because it has links to ebay...bullshit!

I can't figure out how the hell to create any landing page now that Google won't slap down..fuck I don't want to go back to Yahoo...they wear me out with how long it takes to get anything approved.

What about bing?

EDIT by the way thanks for the heads up, we were thinking about doing something like this.

Again, were the links cloaked (php redirect)? You know, they've been slapping sites with blatant affiliate links (clickbank, ebay, cj) for a long long time, I think they did that in the 2nd/3rd Google Slap back in 2006.

i assume you were using masked links... fact is an autoblog will always have a tough time against a manual review. maybe the trick is to figure out what you need to do to not trigger a manual review. not that i know what that is - but was it too much content (i.e. too many auctions?)

I don't think it was too many auctions. I'm convinced you have to put up a site with no products of any kind, just content, and let the damn thing run for 6 weeks. After you get done losing 6 weeks worth of PPC spend, hopefully they would have done a manual review, and you can put up the links and products. I don't really feel like losing a couple grand to test it, but I can't think of a better way.

What pisses me off more than anything is that I have 3 sites with great search rankings for organic search traffic..and these sites have ebay links as well.

Why is it Google will let you get those sites to the first page, but when you PAY WITH YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY to advertise, you can't get anything done.

You'd think it would be the other way around.
