So I'm assuming PPC Arbitrage doesn't work with Web Developer traffic?

webdev trafic is mostly useless cpc-wise... they all know the drill and don't click on most of the stuff. You'd need cpm ads for these.

adminfusion.com has the right idea. They target forum site owners and the owner, ryan, sells the text ads himself for a fixed price per month. He also sells banners and puts them into rotation but I'll bet they are much less effective.

People click on the links because the advertisers are usually a really good match with the niche.

I never had good results with web developer traffic. As a web developer myself, I don't remember the last time I clicked on an Adsense ad or any contextual ad for that matter.

If I see an ad that I like I just type the url in my browser. I'm sure it's the same for most web developers or other niches where people are online frequently.

Same here on everything.
