What is a "clean url" (in regards to blogging)?
What is captchya and what is it used for?
Is there a difference between seo and sem?
What is deep linking and how do you do it?
What is dynamic keyword insertion?
What else is there besides direct linking campaigns?
What's the purpose of an rss reader?
What is personal branding and does any one use it?
Is there a resource so that you know if a technique of black hat?
What constitutes a lead capture form?
Is a parked domain name, one that you are not currently using?
What is the deal with sub domains?

I'll probably have more questions as I continue reviewing my notes.
Thanks
Laura

I will start you off -
What is a "clean url" - Google Search

1...2...3...GO!

You're in bad need of an ebook.

In the meantime hit up Google.

If you come to the IM game so ignorant of its terms and few months studying the landscape will do you good.

IM = internet marketing

PS Don't worry too much about neg rep. It's like a term of endearment around here.

Where the hell is my fucking brain? I obviously misplaced it since I am asking these stupid questions here instead of using my common sense to Google them.

I'll probably have more questions as I continue reviewing my notes.
Thanks
Laura

I love how these questions were formed like you actually had half a brain ("what constitutes...", "as I continue reviewing my notes").

LOL, welcome to WF.

seo is optimization
sem is marketing

I know other want to give some answers, so I will stop there.

Well I don't care about rep, I just want to learn. Everything else gets ignored or filtered out. There is a big difference between not having a brain and being ignorant.

As far as Googling or Wikipedia goes, their definitions often suck! Contains only standard characters and is short and easily read. I don't know what the hell standard characters are. Definitions should be followed up with examples and explanations.

And I have seen stupider questions on the forum. Like can I run a ppc campaign and make my money back in 30 days?

As far as a few months studying the landscape goes, the more I study the more questions I have. Most ebooks either don't go into any depth or don't explain the terms they use. I have spent hours and hours studying and looking terms up. Not to mention some people do things the hard and expensive way and I haven't a clue as to how to figure out why they do this.

Yes, there is a difference, but in your case you are both ignorant and brainless.

I guarantee that if you entered your questions into Google. everyone of them would have good results with articles from blogs etc that will answer the original question completely. You just have to fucking try it.

Yes, "How can I make a PPC campaign that makes me my money back within 30 days" is a pretty stupid question. But no where near as pathetic as "What constitutes a lead capture form?"

why bother

If my questions, bother you so damn much, why even bother. Every one is entitled to their opinion but that doesn't mean you absolutely must express it.

I don't know why your reputation is flawless, I think your an ass hole.
I wonder how much education some of you guys have as many responses are incomplete and not thought out.

Why don't you get Jon to post a rule that you can't ask questions about certain things. Then maybe some of the sorry asses around here would be more happy.

OK, Laura,

What is a "clean url" (in regards to blogging)?

A clean url contains the words of the title of the post and no redirects.

What is captchya and what is it used for?

It's used to avoid spam. You post some random letters you see on a graph.

Is there a difference between seo and sem?

SEO is part of SEM, just a part.

What is deep linking and how do you do it?

Deep linking is when you get a very specific link to your site from a directory.

What is dynamic keyword insertion?

No idea, sounds like black-hat SEO for me. I don't do that.

What else is there besides direct linking campaigns?

Plenty of things. I can show you but it will cost.

What's the purpose of an rss reader?

To get what's new on a bunch of sites in a single place.

What is personal branding and does any one use it?

That's a crap used by bloggers to get famous.

Is there a resource so that you know if a technique of black hat?

No clue.

What constitutes a lead capture form?

Another answer that will cost you.

Is a parked domain name, one that you are not currently using?

Yes.

What is the deal with sub domains?

Any, they are just subdomains.

If Jon made a rule against noobs posting stupid questions, we wouldn't be able to flame them endlessly after they do because they'd be banned.

Honestly though, everyone does have questions like these at the very beginning. It's just the method of how you obtain the answers that matters (Google).

Seriously, all of those questions can be answered using Wikipedia and Google...
