Seriously, shut up.

All of you affiliates who choose to spend any amount of time on this forum complaining about how an offer is scrubbing you too much need to stop advertising your ignorance. Nothing is going to change. Nothing is going to ever happen about it. Your only negotiating power comes from alternatives.

Seek out other similar offers in the vertical and test all of them. Set your traffic on rotation and if the best starts to underperform then lower their share of the pie. Optimize your clicks for the highest return while constantly testing. You need to keep everyone honest. As an affiliate, that’s your job.

Stop caring so much about how your leads are counted or what the payout is. It doesn’t matter if Ringtones.net pays out $20 and scrubs 50% or pays out $50 and scrubs 80% or pays out $10 and scrubs 0%. It’s all the same shit. If they are the best ringtone offer out there, then it doesn’t matter because you don’t have a choice. If they aren’t the best out there, why are you sending them traffic? Either way, their scrub is irrelevant.

Sohan, you spent 3 pages whining about a grant offer scrubbing you. If it hurt your bottom line, why didn’t you run another grant offer? There are 50 of them out there. If the one that was scrubbing you was still performing the best, then what do you have to complain about? They obviously built a better product than 49 other competitors in the space.

Your power as affiliate comes from the almighty EPC and rewarding merchants who maximize it. Stay focused.

Scrubbing is like Taxes.
Not much you can do about it, but people are still going to complain till their blue in the face.

We scrub on a regular basis to preserve the quality of leads for partners and advertisers.

Scrubbing is a widely accepted practice in this industry, and is necessary preserve the integrity of the data that is being sold.

I think sohans post was cool since it made the issue public. I'm sure that some advertisers will think twice about doing it this badly if they see others getting outed.

Obviously, if the offer stops converting, you'll have to change it. Duh.

Good luck broes

While I agree that it's perhaps pointless to keep whining about it, I think it's good when people post about specific advertisers or networks scrubbing.

Yeah I bitched about it, but at the time people didn't know it was shaving and there weren't any alternatives to it. There might be another 50 out there to test now, but at the time there sure as fuck wasn't. What annoyed me the most was the inconsistency of the shaving and how blatant they made it. 15% -> 1% -> 7%. Not only that, half this forum didn't know about Just Think's shaving till that thread.
