Split testing the same offer on different affiliate networks?

Hey,

Long time since I've been around, but just had a quick question.

Would it be a good idea to split test the same offer on multiple offers? The same offer is on TheBizOppNetwork and NeverBlue.

Should I split test the same offer on both networks and see if one gets way more conversions or is this an uncommon thing?

Thanks!

Do it if you have the opportunity- no matter what, it's good data to have. Just be careful because you want all aspects of the test to be exactly the same, or as close to as possible.

If it's the same offer with the same payout just on different networks it's unlikely there will be much of a difference. Assuming you are running with a legit network most of the scrubbing you see will be on the advertisers side, not the networks. Still if you have the cash it never hurts to test it out.

There is a $1.60 difference between the 2 offers. One offer pays $20.00, the other pays $21.60. I'm thinking I will just split test it for a week and see what happens.

If it's the same merchant, then it should all be kosher, but if it's just an offer that's similar (as in ripped off one or the other), then the after-sales period (refunds, chargebacks, etc) will be where you see a real difference.

That being the case, try to work out your EPC. Higher payouts are often that way due to a lower average EPC, as the high payout figure attracts people to an offer.

yeah definitely split test the offers between different networks. you could see different epc/conversion rates. i was recently running a mobile offer and split tested the offer on a different network. it was proven 15% conv rate and the other network i got only 3% however the payout was much higher.

see what works best for you.
