6. Earn Profit..

I just wanted to make shore I was doing everything correctly. So is what I have so far decent? If you think I am missing any steps please do tell.. Any recommendations on marketing with out the use of PPC campaigns?

What you've done so far is the easy part. 4 and 5 are the important steps from what you've outlined. (Well. Of course 6 is the most important...).

Get your site done.

As far as promotion without PPC goes, there are a quite a few options there...but I would say that certain things work better for certain niches. Hard to say without more details.

The niche is "babies". I won't go into further detail though. I am almost done creating the landing page. Just gotta code it. Then its all marketing..

What are the normal marketing techniques most IM use?

PPC is probably the easiest if you know what you are doing. Other stuff is going to take much more time but wont have much cost to you in the long run. SEO is another big one if shooting for organic traffic is something you want to do.

Otherwise you could write articles, post on forums. Pretty much everything and anything you can do. Just be creative and read WickedFire!

I am surprised that no one said anything about it being a 1 page site (?). I heard Google doesn't like to give any page rank to "thin" or mini sites. One page, dude I don't think that enough to make any money. Many affiliates recommend 10 to 15 pages of content and say it is a must to have (because of the trust issue) an about us page, an contact us page (or at least a link) and definitely a privacy policy. Isn't a privacy police a legal requirement? Please correct me if I am wrong about this. I'm still learning.

I don't think you need a privacy policy unless you are actually selling something. Since his site would just be referral links, he shouldn't need one.

The privacy policy is a requirement for AdSense publishers, not strictly speaking a requirement for all sites on Google. There are no hard and fast legal requirements for having a privacy policy; however, if your site collects any personal information or places cookies it can't hurt to have one.

Actually, marketing is for n00bs. So is creating landing pages.

All you have to do is come up with keywords, then go sit on your couch and watch TV as the profit rolls in. As they say, life is good.
