Starting Product Promotion Service

Im starting a local product promotion service and for people who do the MLM and other trial offer things locally in town. I will expand down the road. My question is where can I find software to where I can have my affiliates log into my website and track there record of sales etc. Also to where I can have a database that stores this information. In a since I am starting more of a local media company. I dont want to push, im going to set up product line and have others push product for me.
Need:

1) Need recording software for tracking affiliate sales on product promotions I set up. Along with a database program that stores buyers information sent from the affiliates site after a transaction has occurred.

2) Any advice/critics , etc I will gladly take

You're going to get loved tenderly... Mentioning that you're into MLM stuff is going to have people all over you like tentacles on a Japanese school girl around here.

As for stuff that'll do the tracking... well, there's Direct Track.
That's always a good starting point.
