Hey, designers - how often do you use stock photos of landscapes. Fields, the sky, etc?

Just wondering as I stumbled upon a few landscape pictures I took a while ago to sell as stock, just never got around to it.

I use those all the time. The problem with selling them is that we can buy them for $1 each. Once you have 10-20 decent ones you really don't need any new ones.

What I do tend to buy a lot of are pictures of people.

Unfortunately, landscapes are almost quite literally dime a dozen, unless you get something really special.
Thailand's islands & grottos, castles in Europe, weird arse rock formations, etc.

That said, there's no harm that can come from listing them on some of the stock photo sites.
If you're going to monetize your photos, be sure to promote them by having a few other gallery sites listing the same photos (DevArt, Sheezy, Photobucket, Flickr, etc), but in really low-res (i.e. 320x480), with the comment linking it to the hi-res version for sale on your istockphotos account or something.

I never buy landscape stock photos at all - If I can't find what I want free (legally), then I usually CG them.
