Subdomain VS Subdirectory in SEO

What are most often good in SEO and ranking?

A subdomain? blog.domain.com
or
a subdirectory ? domain.com/blog

Anyone can share your experience and ideas?

In terms of blogging, and landing page.

Each subdomain is treated as a separate domain and entity.

So unless you SEO each, subdirectories are the way to go!

IMO, sub directories usually make the most sense in most site architectures.

If this is just another part/division of your site, go for subdirectory. If this is something a bit different, like forum or blog, go for subdomain.
