The mindfuck has been going on too long. I need help.

I got into aff network for the first time. Got my VPS. Set up 202. Chose an offer. Made 3 slightly different landers.

And now, all I need to do is to make the damn aff links for prosper202 and they include subid's.

On the CPA network the basic link for my offer looks like this;

http://1.com/?a=XXX&c=ZZZ&s1=

Now, since I can't get a decent answer from my aff manager, I'll ask you guise.

1) I have 3 call-to-action links on the LP. One is a big ass button, one small button and one link in the middle of the text, and they all must lead to the same offer. Do I need to track each one separately or is that an overkill?

2) How to make tracking for each of the 3 LP's I've made?

P202 control panel says;

The following tracking placeholders can be used:

[[subid]], [[c1]], [[c2]], [[c3]], [[c4]]

So what to do with those, what do they mean and most importantly - how do I include them in my offer link, what's the correct way?

Also, a notice on my CPA control panel;

"S1 parameter should only be used to pass NON-UNIQUE SubAffiliate IDs. If you are using UNIQUE Click IDs each time someone clicks on the link, please use another Sub ID field"

What's a "nonunique" subid? I can't find any good explanation on this...

I conclude this classic wack post with a wack pic of a classic vintage vag.

SubID is used for sub affiliates. I haven't needed to use it much. If your affiliate requests to track by SubID, go ahead and use it.

The c1,c2,c3 is overkill.

I would use something like Affiliate Reference ID or Extra Data. Anything you can drill down on.

Overkill? No such thing. The more data generated and optimized - the better.

Edit: OMG I can post now :D

OP all you have to do is add an s2 after the s1 and tell prosper to place [[subid]] after &s2=

Your final link will look like this:

http://1.com/?a=XXX&c=ZZZ&s1=&s2=[[subid]]

I think he means this:

/?a=[[affiliate_id]]&c=[[campaign_id]]&s1=[[subid]]&s2=[[subid2]]&s3=[[subid3]]&s4=[[subid4]]

No that's not what I mean. I don't know what bumfuck tracking solution you use but my way is how you do it for prosper and cpvlab.

Tank you very much.

Can we go into details just so I MASTER this ancient knowledge and get full understanding?

What exactly is a "s1" whats its use?

I shouldn't change the "subid" text to something else, correct?

What if I want to track 3 LP's - how do I format the 3 different links?

http://1.com/?a=XXX&c=ZZZ&s1=&s2=[[subid]]
http://1.com/?a=XXX&c=ZZZ&s1=&s3=[[subid]]
http://1.com/?a=XXX&c=ZZZ&s1=&s4=[[subid]]

Or something else?

Those are your offer links, don't touch them.
You set them up one time in the Setup -> Campaigns tab.
The tracking link should look like this: http://1.com/?a=XXX&c=ZZZ&s1=&s2=[[subid]]. Prosper replaces the [[subid]] thing with a click ID so you can see what's converting.

If you want to set up different landing pages you go to Setup -> Landing page.
Enter your name + URL for your landing pages and you're done.

When you grab your tracking link (Setup -> Get Links) you select the landing page you want.
At the bottom of the page you can enter some values for the c1, c2 etc IDs (this is optional and lets you allow tracking placements for example).

Shit is not easy to explain, pm me your Skype name if you still have issues.

to answer your question about s1:
It was created for tracking the source of your traffic only if you want to track it. Like Facebook, Google or whatever. Or iOS, Android, etc.
It's not designed to be something that will accept a long constantly changing clickid number like 3435354545 because it will look like crap in the 202 reports.
Keep in mind, anything you pass along to the affiliate network, they can see - which defeats the purpose of 202...so be aware of what you are passing and keep it at a minimum or make up a code that only you'll know.
