I constantly get ads for things I'd have absolutely no interest in, which is so stupid because Facebook allows you to pretty much target exactly who your target demographic should be.

Yeah if you didn't click them their CTR would be lower and they'd be more likely to go away faster. Maybe you are just secretly interested in everything you thought you weren't.
