I am about to start my very first PPV campaign. I don't know much about PPV except for the reading I have done on the blogs syndicated on affbuzz.com. I have been lurking, reading and researching here for a little while on here, and I am going to take the plunge, spend a couple grand without any expectations of returns. It's purely going to be a learning experience.
I got taken for a shit load of cash by an ex-business partner, and I don't have a job. I do some SEO shit for a couple of local business people, and that gives me some bread and butter living money. That means I have about $400-$500 a month to spend on my campaigns. I am going to be spending tiny amounts, and learning as much as I can. I'll try spending a couple grand in the next couple of months.
My goals/objectives for my campaigns is to build an email list, and break even on the front end. I'll make profit on the back-end by emailing promos and offers to the list after I have tickled their balls a little with some "powerful free content" etc etc.
- I have bought some Landing page packs to use and I am editing and uploading them tonight. The landing pages are designed to get people to sign up to my email list, when they sign up they get redirected to a sales/offer page.
- I am targeting health areas. Lose weight, get ripped etc. I have created a free little ebook to giveaway in exchange for their email address, and I am finishing off a 10 email autoresponder sequence tonight to get me started.
- The traffic source I am using is DirectCPV (mainly because I hear some marketers are getting good conversions from them, and they don't require a massive initial deposit).
- I am going to be targeting via URL's first, and then test targeting keywords.
- I haven't sorted out any tracking yet for this. I think I am going to use tracking202 initially as it is a hosted solution (I don't want to host any tracking software myself yet).
Thats all I have so far. Has anyone got any pointers for me? Am I missing anything obvious at all? If you can see any newb errors in the above, feel free to call me out on them.
Thanks.
