I've been reading this board for 2 years, after learning how much a POS waste of time the "Warrior Forum" was/is.

Anyway, I'm close to venturing into the PPC space, and want to make sure every keyword I spend money on is tracked in one way or another.

I know most networks provide alphanumeric tracking IDs. Clickbank provides 8 characters specifically.

Before I go cowboy and start throwing a bunch of #'s and letters on destination URLs, I want to make sure I have an organized structure.

I plan to use several different PPC platforms, and advertise on hundreds if not thousands of keywords.

Does anybody have a naming convention, or number structure they use to organize there keyword-level tracking?

E.G.

  • What #/letter combination would one use for all adwords-platform bidding? How many keywords should I expect to be able to track with only 8 digits?
  • When I get the reporting in clickbank/commision junction/etc how do I consolidate the information with my search engine reporting?

Any advice/direction (even the most basic) would be appreciated. I'll even click on a few dickrolls to get initiated if that's what it takes.

Wow, thats a whopping 2.5 posts a year... I'll actually give ya a tip, go read up on tracking/prosper202 (its tracking) and dynamic subid insertion.
