Hey guys, I just bought an ad space on a web magazine but the guys here ask me to send the creative + the link. They said they don't want banner rotation.

I'm pretty new to this and I thought at first tracking this with Prosper202. But i think p202 doesnt track impressions? This metric is important so I need it.

So I installed OpenX on my VPS, took a look at the various functions. I think I understand a little bit how it works so far so good. But when I am trying to get a code for my banner, they give me a javascript code.

Is it the way to go with this advertiser (or any web site owners)? I give him the creative file + the javascript and i am all setted?

Thanks to clarify.

Just be clear whose numbers you bill off of -- yours measured by OpenX or his measured by however he measures impressions

If you're paying a flat fee, this won't be relevant. The adserver will still be helpful to measure your ad CTRs however.

the creatives are served through openx, the javascript code does everything so you would only give them that (the ad tag).

Cool. Can you guys confirm this :

  • So I only give them the javascript code?
  • No need to send them the banner file since I can host it on my server with OpenX?
  • Can I set something in OpenX to do banner rotation?
