This is a basic (very) tip but is pretty much guaranteed to make you more money if you implement it.

If you're using a landing page promoting CPA offers and you’re running some place that allows an exit pop… use one.

I'm shocked that I see so many Affiliates running without them in places where they’re allowed. It's completely extra revenue that has a 0% chance of negatively affecting your current campaign as the person is already leaving the site.

Currently, my exit traffic accounts for 8% of total conversions. If you have a profitable campaign already, this can have a big impact on your ROI.

I used to have the exit pop re-direct straight to the offer but I think I was just being lazy. You wanna send them back to a re-sell page.

The best way is definitely a 2 step pop where they have to click ok to the first one and then ok or cancel immediately after. A lot of places don't allow that - so then a one step pop is fine. It then takes them back to another page using the same template as the LP and resells them, ideally with more reasons to take action.

At the end of the day... assuming the place allows it... I really don't understand why so many people don't have one - especially when I see people who I know are doing volume.

Depends what's more important to you and what helps your business long term more.

On presell pages the exit pop won't really produce any complaints since they won't contact you.

I'll def implement this on my main money maker and see what happens.

Do you have any specific script / method to recommend? There are so many ways to implement this...

What I am really asking if someone has data on how different approaches work.
 
Only offer the user two options:
1. Return to landing page
2. Set LP as browser home page and exit

Thanks for the tip on this and sorry for the banal question but...what do you mean exactly by "use an exit pop where it's allowed"? Who is forbidding them (except ppv networks)?

People are fucking insane... they are always pissed off... I use exit script on all my websites and I have proof to show you that "it fucking works".
 
Consider popping a leadgen type offer vs. another cps/trial if you're going to pop direct. For example popping a bizopp or diet leadgen can a lot of times work very well on the exit pop.
