I am generating 3000 uniques per day to a used car site. I am running adsense and it produces OK(side income at best) but I feel as if I am leaving money on the table.

I started the site in March so I am new to this. I tried cpa networks but the performance was abysmal for products such as car loans, car warranties, insurance and auto quotes.

To keep this short since it is my first post: Is 3000 used car shoppers a genuine opportunity or it that a low number for autos?

Any advice is welcome.

Check out your ad layout. Were you putting those ads in places the users eyes were led?

Try some free gas gift card offers, too. Worth a shot, but your auto loans and what not will probably convert better if you can nail the placement.

Otherwise, you can use a pay-to-post system, like CarSoup.com does (I think) $20 or so dollars to list a used car until it is sold. Something like that could bring in a nice amount of cash. Maybe have a place for featured ads, where people or auto dealerships will be able to have their car for sale ad on the front page.

There are lots of chances to make money off 3000 UV a day, and you brought in 3000 UV a day in just 3 months. That's no easy feat on its own. The site should keep growing and you'll see the profit roll in soon.

All good suggestions. I agree that optimizing my approach should increase conversions. As far as charging per listing: It is not my database. I have simply inserted a javascript that gives me a large database of cars to promote within my site. The problem is that I am not getting paid for any of the leads generated for the car listings I am using to create traffic. If I could monetize the actual car listings by selling leads I could be talking some significant money here. But I have not found the proper feed to do that. The auto lead affiliate programs I have found so far offer limited options when it comes to installing feeds onto your existing site.
