using logos from news networks on your site

If you link to a news report on a news networks website can you use their logo on your site? If you place the logo above/below the link?

Example: If the content on my site is related to a news report that NBC did could I put their logo below the link? Also, do I have to use the logo for the exact channel that did it? News stations usually have the local channel number infront of their logo, NBC5, NBC8, for all the local cities. I'd rather just use the logo without the local channel number.
 


I'm gonna say that you probably would not have a problem with doing it, but would technically be frowned on by the company. It would be up to the station on who can use their logo.

Personally I would use it until they say something, but I'm not a lawyer.
