Video adsense units on youtube

Regarding google adsense video unit option:

If i want to place adsense units on youtube videos. Do the videos need to be videos i uploaded? or

As long as the videos are embedded on my website i can place my own ads?
ie: i can embed anything from youtube and have my adsense units on it?

I don't think you have any control over the invideo ads....

you do, you have to connect your adsense to your youtube account.

Can we add adsense with youtube videos on a webpage. I have also added a horizontal ad alongside my site banner...Does that a violates something.
