Where do you guys recommend finding virtual assistants? I have an ad up on Odesk already. My budget is around 250.

My advice after dealing with a handful of VA's: Skip them unless your outsourcing tasks that aren't related to profits. IE: handling your mail, organizing your day.

If you hire a VA for seo, writing, etc they're usually either lazy or incompetent. Spend your $ on services here at WF.

What I've learned from years of experience is this:

Most of the people from places like odesk are uneducated and not classically trained. They're usually a bigger headache than they're worth.

Don't trust anybody but yourself with your online business...

I can vouch for VAs on Odesk being big pains in the ass - That's not to say there may be a few (and by a few I mean hardly any) that will get the job done well, but a good majority of them will do a slow-shitty-wrong job and still expect to get paid.

Summary: You get what you pay for

If you are going to hire VA I would recommend you to go for ones who already have some SEO software, like Scrapebox.

Yes, you still can find them from certain country. I don't know where you live, but maybe you can get cheap one around you. You can choose untrained one (at least know about internet and PC basic).

So you must know what to do, then you can teach them.
I just have a fulltime VA that live near my house. He can works well.

When we want cheap fee VA, it means we must know what to do, then teach them.
$250/month is more than enough for untrained VA in my country. I don't know about it in your place.

I just choose the one that have just graduate from senior high school.

I hope it will help you.

already hired and fired my VA guys, I got some great answers in this thread though, namely from Staccs!

my tip for VA's having just experienced 1, is be prepared to hire and fire a lot, and dont set up a monthly pay, set a limit per week, or per day, because you most likely WILL fire them.
