He is - THE CACTUS!
You know those annoying scripts that pop up and pretend to be a human and start typing shit at you convincing you to stay, and they'll give you a fantastic awesome deal if you stay and talk to them?
The ones that you know are a bot and are really fucking irritating, but would probably convince most people with a double digit IQ?

Where can I get one?
Does anyone have a site utilizing one that's particularly effective, or has at least made a noticeable difference to conversions?

The only one I've seen is Virtual Smart Agent, and considering it has an 18 foot long, single page site, it doesn't exactly fill me with trust.

Why not use Livezilla. I wonder what kind of difference it'd make if you were the one chatting instead of a bot. Just throwing it out there!

He wants a bot. He can't sit at the PC all day chatting with every puny customer coming his way.
He probably has other things to do in life ;-)

LiveZilla is definitely an amazing Live Chat system but it would be no good because they don't offer bots :-P

I totally agree. What I meant (though didn't communicate it well) was that he could test out the automated vs. the live person and see how much difference there is to conversions. Nothing permanent, but for like 4-10 hours, just give it a whirl, see what happens.

Virtualsmartagent sells on a one-time basis vs. recurring costs of many others. I'm running it on a client site and it's been awesome. Little rocky at first since the preloaded chats obviously don't cover many specifics of your business but over time you can optimize it pretty well. Getting ready to run it on another client who is an insurance underwriter & expect good things.

12 year old Indian's can. :)

PM me if you wanna pick up some in bulk.
I'll give you best price!
:1bluewinky:

I'll go to some of the slum areas, pick up some kids and tie them up in the back of my truck, take them straight to the docks and finally, ship 'em off to you :-D:evil_laughter::bootyshake:

+rep for introducing me to LiveZilla.

Saw your post and I installed LiveZilla on one of the sites at work last week. We're testing it on certain pages and it's amazing. We're paying over 5 figures a year for our current live chat + licenses so this is a no-brainer switch. Maybe I'll get a raise since we'll be saving so much :)

If you want to train the bots to get smarter or just have more overall control, check out pandorabots. I remember a while back someone at one of those 419 scambaiting sites set one up to talk with the scammers and some of them would chat with it for hours before they realized what was going on.

OK, did test out Livezilla... Yeah, it's a good system, but at the moment, we're not really looking for more employees that can basically do a jobthat an autoamted system can. Especially as it's WAY cheaper to just spend a a couple hours a day for a week thinking up anything a dumb arse end user could possibly say and loading a response tree into the system.

I'm aware of virtualsmartagent, but really didn't feel comfortable with it as every site that was selling it was a scammy looking one 80foot long scroll down page. Andthat always screams Clickbank to me...
Most of the shit on Clickbank is there because it just can't sell on its own inferior merits.

+rep for the pandorabots thing. That looks like something we could definitely use.

Hey Harvey, I use Virtual Smart Agent and you don't have to worry about getting some crap program, it's good. It's a quality application that has everything it needs.
