My rate is $1.50 per 100 words, but as for ".ai", I am rather confused as to what you are referring to. Assuming you are talking about a file format, it is one that I have never seen before, and all references online point to it being a format for Adobe Illustrator Artwork files, something that is completely unrelated to freelance writing. Do you think you could fill me in on exactly what you were referring to?
