Thanks to SeoDave's recent post, I decided to give some CPA programs another try.
For some reason I can't get my bids down in adwords though, even for un-competitive keywords. I've build what I feel is good relevant landing page, used relevant keywords, and relevant ads.
Just to get my feet wet I first tried making a email submit regarding the recent larry craig news. I did a poll, asking if you think he is gay or not. Here is my landing page: - Is Senator Larry Craig Gay?
I used keywords like "larry craig", "larry craig gay", "senator larry craig", etc.
My ad read something like this: Is Larry Craig gay? Vote now and receive a free $500 Visa Gift Card.
Adwords wants me to pay $1 per click for the term larry craig, and says the QS is poor. This is the case for a lot of my keywords.
I put this campaign on pause and build another, better mini site, for a different topic. I have the same problem with my QS and bid price.
Anyone have any advice as to what I an doing wrong?
