Total dumbass n00b question # 74,890-

Someone offers their content filled site/blog for sale. You bid. You win. Yea for you. Now What? Like http://www.wickedfire.com/sell-buy-...owd-net-successfull-blog-sale.html#post208432

What are the steps that happen nex? Transfer domain...hosting...then voila? you just pick up where the last guy left off and keep adding content, monitezation...etc? Also if it's a web site you can just edit as you please and publish content in something like dreamweaver, I guess, but what about a blog? Just WP? (I'm not currently a blogger so, again, forgive the green question)

I guess I'm essentially just wondering if there is some sort of 'internet transfer of title' type thing I'm missing.

You make your payment, you get the domain transferred, you get the files or transfer to your hosting and that's it, she's all yours.

There's no transfer of title, but if you want additional buyer's protection, you could also ask the seller to sign a boilerplate agreement, which states exactly what you will own, step by step. You want to outline in detail that you will be owning (the domain, content, etc.).
