What Kind of Wordpress Plugin do you Need?

Hey everyone-

I was chatting with a programmer friend who is interested in creating a wordpress plugin.

With all the cool wordpress plugins that can be used for affiliate marketers, I'm wondering what people want that hasnt been created.

So any ideas or requests? What kind of functionality would totally kick ass?

Pretty marketable to anyone running a local business review directory on WP.

make one of those poll generation plugins, with a review site feature that pulls data feeds! i think thats what bb_wolfe was getting at, he just doesn't want to spec it out fully for you.

I'd like a plugin that makes Wordpress a less bloated piece of unsecure shit that doesn't need so many plugins to do what it should do out of the box.
 
A keyword replacement program that works realtime. There is one that allows regex once for link changing and all.

I want a good one that works realtime for making text more unique.

And WPomatic is old and is two months overdue for an update.

One of the first steps to a successful project is market research. What I may think is a good idea, may have little demand in the general market. Secondly, there may be some good ideas out there which I may not have thought of.
