Today I created my first campaign on POF and I'm having good results.

My CTR for that first campaign seems to be around 0.6% but that's only after 1 day, 1 image, and a few thousand impressions.

Is that good/bad/average?

But since it's CPM bidding, are you rewarded in any way by having high CTR's? (ex. with most PPC platforms you'll get cheaper clicks and more impressions by having good CTR's right?)

That's a great CTR. 10k impressions is a good measure, and remember, the time of day can have a huge impact on your CTR. Since its CPM, your reward for a high CTR is a lower effective CPC.

0.60% on POF is a great CTR! Average on POF I would say is around 0.15%-0.20% so you are doing great so far. Your reward is dirt cheap clicks. Now as vgeek said, the time of the day has a huge impact on ur CTR. So if after a few days and 20,000 impressions you are still at %0.60 you are doing something right. Even for micro niches 0.60 CTR is great!

Yeah the only thing is that this niche is pretty narrow so I think it won't be super huge volume.

For narrow targeting, do you eventually run out of unique people? Meaning, will my CTR start going down one day, as more and more of that market sees my ad?

yes. that's what had happened to me many times on pof.

since the volume isn't there on pof, my demo got banner blinded quickly.

it only lasted several days or a week.. for me..: <

Would doing something like changing images help when your CTR starts to go down?

Also, how do you know whether increasing your bid will result in an increase in impressions? Is that just something you have to test?

Anyway maybe if this campaign turns out to be pretty decent, I'll write up a case study once it's done.
