What's with all the offers being pulled lately?

This industry changes over night. At the drop of a hat.

Why the Gestapo talk?

Them berries aint gonna push themselves.

All the presuming and thinking about the economy is just an excuse to not be driving around that Ferrari. Sound like a fuckin support group in here.

It's depressing.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. Argh.

[sarcasm]Yeah fun while it lasted, I totally agree.[/sarcasm]

This shit happens all the time, new trial offers are popping up everywhere, and there are several trial offers that have been steadily running for sometime.

I think a lot of people are missing something here.
All except one of those is a weightloss product.

Considering that online sales of regular consumer goods are not actually showing the massive drop every online retailer was afraid of (in fact, other than BFS, the drop off's not nearly as bad as offline stores so far), it could just be the fact that people are starting to figure out that much like the last round of diet supplements, these ones don't work all that great and are looking for the next thing to fall out of Oprah's mouth.

Who was it who was saying "Evolve or Die" when Wuyi bottomed out?

i think its nice that cx actually gives you a bit of advanced notice instead of pulling offers without prior notice and just switching links. THAT shit pisses me off.

please networks, advertisers a bit of planning and consideration maybe?

These trial offers are very cash intensive for these businesses. They pay for the inventory up front (then send 1st month trial for free), pay your comission plus networks comission up front, THEN they get paid once the subscription kicks in in month 2.

From initial cash outlay for inventory, they might now be seeing their cash back for 90 days.

The credit market is dry (ie banks aren't lending), and I bet these companies are finding it tough to keep their current loan facilities, given the risk exposure to the banks (ie. the banks are probably reigning in these loans).

I think the trend to pull offers will continue as a result of this cash crunch in the global market, and we might see more interesting rev/share models! (higher payout/deferred payment...)

Perfectly said - I love when networks do that to my review page! Cuz it's awesome to say "click here for acai green 20 million" and they get sent to acai blue...

pricks

No way. See my post above about the $50 invoice that accompanied the initial order.

in time of recession advertisers turn even more to measurable advertising platforms - meaning - more $ for us.

no more huge TV ads to big up your brand, this shit is too risky right now. I expect to see a lbigger % the advertising budgets go online. so please stop whining. We are the only medium which is gonna grow thanks to this recession.

this is the only intelligent response in this thread.

Some of the bigger companies such as Sambazon are working supposedly with the Feds on shutting down these sites.

economy = crap = less ad monies

LOL Wrong equation.

Economy = OK.

Acapolypse Hype = Yes.

Internet Marketing = Has never been so liquid like it is today. It's still growing at 20%+ rates.

Ever heard about ROI? K, now compare ROI on Internet marketing to TV ads. K. now do the math. What are you going to invest in if ur business has less money? Right, the one with the higher ROI.

All those Companies are not shutting down, well at least not most of them. They are just being overwhelmed with orders. In Switz we call this a luxury problem.

Now please pull your ads so that I can step up higher.

Got two pubs setting up both their own Acai offers as we speak.

It aint going nowhere fellas.

It is an intelligent response, and no, affiliate marketing isn't going anywhere.
But just because you want something to be true doesn't mean it is. I'm not saying "omgz pull all your acai/free trial campaigns"...but anyone who's not making plans to adapt and isn't at least a bit worried is a mystery to me. And no, I haven't been contacted. However, I challenge yall to run the same IP check SWIM did.
