I started a niche travel blog about one month ago. I know it takes a long time to get organic traffic. I'm familiar with Adwords from my day job so I am going to try and drive some cheap traffic there. I'm wondering if I made a mistake in signing up for travel affiliate programs now - my blog gets like 10 visitors per day! I have a booking tool and affiliate links within the text specific to certain blog posts.

I'm worried that in 3 or 6 months, if it's still not really converting well, I'll be dropped from the program. I know this can happen, but can you approach them then if you are getting more traffic? I am hoping to build up the blog a lot in that time, I am adding new content every day, but I wonder - is it better to get your traffic to a certain threshold before you do affiliate stuff? Should I drop the affiliate programs now, before they drop me, and then retry once I have more solid traffic?

I would stay on the ones you're on. I'm on hundreds of programmes that I've never made a sale for, it doesn't really matter. If one drops you, you can always attempt to reapply. I wouldn't apply to too many until you've made a success of some tho.

Rgds
