Does the whois address details of the owner effect a sites position in the serps when targeting specific regions?
I've done some googling and can't seem to find much information on the subject except for one guy who was located in Canada and he found when he changed his whois info to domainsbyproxy he dropped down in the organic results for Googles Canada site whilst his ranking stayed the same for Google.com
I was always thought Google used the server location (GeoTargetting) as part of its algorithm when determining the best results to give to a user.
Any advice?
