Why this dedicated server so cheap?

It's a decent deal but I wouldn't call the price unusually cheap.

You're basically getting the following specs @ $195.95/month:

Intel Quad Core 'Kentsfield' Xeon 3220 2.4Ghz 2x4MB Cache
2x500GB SATA II
8 GB RAM
I own a small dedicated server business (UnmanagedHosting.com) and offer special deals via Skype and word of mouth, here's one of the most recent deals I offered at $160/month (the person in question paid for an entire year upfront):

Intel Sandy Bridge Quad Core Xeon E3 1230 with HyperThreading
8 GB RAM
Two 500 GB WD Caviar Black HDDs (RAID1)
So basically a similar setup but with a CPU that's approximately 3x better than the Xeon 3220 according to CPUBenchmark.net and of course at a cheaper price.

Not sure if the package you referred to comes with management, the one I mentioned does because even though my business is called UnmanagedHosting.com, most people want us to manage their server and I tweaked my business model accordingly.

So yeah, the $195.95/month package is good but not great.

thank you

Seems more on the up side for. What the fuck are people on about, it being cheap. Many better deals out there.

Just find them.Do the fucking research.

Yea, that's a nice deal, but then again like everyone has said there are many good deals around.

Hardware has gotten so cheap these days.
