Why would Facebook disapprove IQ ad?

Does anyone know? They said it violated 8 or 9, and all I can find remotely relevant is 'ringtones'. You do have to put your cell phone number in - is that why?

And if so, is there any way around it?

If there is a place on the landing page that the user needs to put in their cell phone # I'm guessing that they will keep rejecting it. The only way around it, if you don't want to change the LP, is to keep trying it and hope you get somebody that puts it through I guess.
 
The only reason I was wary about creating the same ad over and over again was because FB said something like 'Ads may result in your account being disabled'.

So if someone at FB sees that I'm creating the same ad again and again, won't they disable my acct?
 
FB keeps rejecting your ads because they wanna be every Facelosers mommy and poppy..they completely go against the grain of what marketing is supposed to do! If traditional marketers used FB nazi's rules every liquor ad or jean ad in every magazine would simply be pictures of a liquor bottle or jeans on white background..

There is a way around your issue, but the resulting ad will be so bland so irrelevant that CTR will tank, you'll needlessly pay higher for clicks and your signup ratio will be horrendous
 
Why not just have a landing page between the ad and the link? Have your landing page be all text and a big "Continue" button, no mention of a cell submit.
 
why not just submit your ad with a LP that looks like what you're promoting without asking for info, and then when it gets approved, redirect the facebook users to the proper landing page

OH SHIT DID I JUST GIVE AWAY SOMETHING

fuck it's not rocket surgery. MISLEAD THE PEOPLE APPROVING YOUR FUCKING ADS TO GET THEM APPROVED

Rocket surgery sounds complicated :) hehe But I don't think this will work...they are pretty strict about their ad approval. :costumed-smiley-015

Here is what you do, google IQ or S.A.T tests, get some nerdy looking site that has links to tons of S.A.T tests, now if you have the latest refer data from FB use string matches to cloak referers from FB to the nerdy site if like me you don't have this info then just straight out php redirect to the nerdy site until approval..but watch your compaign like a hawk cause once it is approved traffic will start going to the nerdy site...

Now the problem will be your graphic and text, you'll have to tailor it to the
actual nerdy site "Come Take Exciting Tests fun fun fun!" And your graphic most likely will have to be something just as bland

I don't think this is the problem as they still allow cell phones games on Facebook where you need to put in your cell number on the first page.

from my understanding and trial and error, any landing page that asks for a mobile # will get turned down. this is just in my experience.
