This is my first post so I hope I don't get flamed. Anyway, I have been reading WF for a while and I think I am going to start to try a different approach to affiliate marketing.

I have been working with TMI Wireless for a while and had some success with it, the only catch is that all of my money came in when I was selling phones with plans on Ebay. Well, those gay fucks ended up banning me because a bunch of newbies on ebay would buy the phones without reading the auctions and then leave me negative feedback, especialy after ebay changed the feedback policy (Assholes).

Since then I have tryed ppc and I had no success with it. The main reason it seems to suck ass so bad is because keywords are so damn expensive and it is hard to find people in buying mode. Another thing that I find is that not only do you have to get people to apply they have to be approved.


I am about to take my site from tmi and start using Letstalk and Wirelfy myself. This way I can customize the site and ad more anchor text to the pages.

I know most people here are using different techniques to make most of there doe but I am curious if anyone is having any success with these types of programs and if you guys have any suggestions on what the hell I can do to ramp this up.

I don't expect anyone to layout an entire game plan or anything but any of your thoughts would be greatly appriciated .
 


Working on the LTD. I was just wondering if anyone has tried PPC with a wireless affiliate offer with any success.

Just try it yourself. Get a good geotargeted campaign built and see what happens. Worst case you spend $200 and find out how not to do something.
 
I have been tried some ppc with not much luck. Most of the keywords cost a fortune. When I try more targeted keywords adwords says that there isn't enough volume. What do you think about maybe trying to content network.

If you're not going to have a custom 800 #, you're going to lose a lot of money.

I don't work on the PPC side of things for wireless, but the high traffic generics are mainly for branding and less on the conversion side, YMMV.

There are mid volume keywords with traffic and normal prices, you need to optimize for conversion. Like I said, the custom IVR is key.
 
Thanks oziman, I have a custom 800 number but I can not take orders from it. I was worried about not getting paid because of the order by phone customers. As far as optimizing for conversion I guess my best bet is to set up my own custom site and not mess with there semi-custom garbage.

Just applied for Hydra, I am going to finaly jump into some other types of affiliate marketing. I'm pretty sure I will do ok. Been reading for to long, time to dive in.
