Wordpress vs. HTML Pages

One thing I'm really not liking about WP is that I have a big list of pages (under page section) to rifle through in order to find what I'm searching for. Is there a way to structure it like a tree like you can with HTML when you FTP in?

If I'm making a lead gen site that will have a page for every city, I could put each city under a state folder on the server if doing HTML. How do I do this in WP so I don't have 200 city pages all in the same section?

Hhmm... yeah I don't think WP is your best route with that one somehow. It's really not cut out for those types of sites - you're quite correct. I don't particularly like platforms like Joomla etc. even though they will handle that sort of stuff much better it does seem like junking it up for no good reason - your own html / css is by far the best option for this sort of thing in my humble opinion.

Frankly speaking I like WP, though it has a few limitations, but it offers many types of pluses too. I have php and WP sites, but i feel comfortable with WP. Though i am willing to learn how to use the other platforms properly.

I have moved away from WP and dont even wanna look back. Joomla does it all for me + wp plugins get out dated so often, not even funny. Optimizing Joomla is much faster and better. WP used to fuck up lots of on page things for me.

For that situation I would use the Advanced Custom Fields. On the backend you can create a field for states, then a conditional field for cities. On the frontend you can offer up said fields with a little bit of copying and pasting. There is probably a more elegant way to do it, but ACF has worked for me in the past.

In terms of SEO you'd better go Wordpress. Also some guy already mentioned that all OP's issues could be easily resolved, just spend more time.

HTML today fails... i was a big HTML'er the last 10 years and this year i gave up on that b/c you will NOT see much success with those any longer, as before
