Would a tool that auto-generated CPA links from your content interest you?

I have an idea for a product and I want to know if you guys would find it useful:

I want to build a service that would automatically create affiliate links out of the content on a page. I envision it working like IntelliTXT or Kontera (a JavaScript include that examines your page's content and dynamically creates links). But instead of shitty CPC ads, the JavaScript would insert very targeted affiliate links without any annoying pop-ups.

As an example, imagine having a forum about books. By simply including a piece of JavaScript, any common book that a forum post mentions could be turned into an affiliate link to the book on Amazon. Or maybe you have an autoblog and want any mention of a camera to be turned into an affiliate link to Buy.com.

I'm a professional developer and understand that this would be very difficult to build. However, for certain niches, it might work reasonably well.

yes that would be valuable. most important things would be ability to add lots of varied aff networks (amazon, epn, and a good number of cpa networks) and figuring out what to query on each for semantic matching. Also some logic to control link density.

if i was building this, i would offer it free as a wordpress plugin and advise the user that say 2% of generated links were going to your aff links instead of theirs. that way, they use it for free, they share it, and get you lots of money based on adoption.

also, i'd definitely add customizable link masking / robots.txt configuration so these links couldn't (as) easily be footprinted.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I would start by offering Amazon and a few other big box retailers and then continue adding in niche affiliates as time goes on.

Having a way to control link density is a great idea. Maybe I could also include a way to control quality of links as well (e.g. only add a link if the service is 99% sure it is correct versus add a link whenever the service thinks it is probably right).

Must be some serious players working n that one.

Love to see it. I have a clients site with 700,000 uniques looking to swap adsense for CPA / affiliate / opt-in.

Looking at open x or google adserver

Love the adoption & masking from conv3rsion.

You fire guys are so nutty - I wish I could design, code publish on command.
for now, stuck with copy, content & offers - that's my role
