Would you choose a keyword-match .ORG or a close-to-keyword-match .COM?

Hey,

I need help from domain pros here...

I am starting a website (which I will monetize with adsense and a few aff offers). However, I have 2 domain names and I don't know which one to use as the main domain.

1st one is a keyword-match .ORG ... would be a heck easier for SEO if I chose this option. However, like I said this is a money site, which doesn't fit with the .ORG principles.

2nd one is a close to keyword match, meaning it's a www.mykeyword.com which actually sounds nice and brandable.

Advice appreciated!

.org and .com should be exactly the same for SEO purposes. Since im assuming your are talking about a 2 word keyword, I would go with option #1, take the .org.

I would go for option 1 exact keyword match in .org. I believe they are equally as good as .com in rankings

To be honest for ranking I think either would work. I know people hate hyphens but I have some ranking top 3 with hyphens. I have no idea why everyone else with the "better" domains is not ranking first page.

And .orgs are good.

Use the .com -- typically, unless your content sounds "org-ish" (or if you prefer, "org-y") the resale market for the site is going to favour the .com extension. The search weight difference between the two will be negligible if it's a real site into which you're putting real work.

Try to get the exact match every time if it's available as .com, net, or org
