I'm looking for recommendations for WP drag and drop builder. I dont know CSS and while I can learn it, I want to get my sites up now. I had headway, but quickly realized I can only build, and not import existing themes.

So, I purchased a subscription to elegantthemes.com thinking the themes would be fairly customizable. Surprise! They're not. Well, at least the home page isn't so editable...even with their drag and drop plugin (which doesnt work on headers and footers for all pages apparently!). I'll put a rant at the bottom of this post.

Was wondering if anyone had a good experience with a drag and drop builder that I can edit existing themes and possibly create my own themes.

My rant: Elegant themes has a support forum for members that offers pretty quick response time. I see that people ask the same shit over and over again...apparently they haven't heard of stickies! The thing is there is no uniformity in their answers, which I find odd. Seems pretty inefficient over there, from my little experience.

I have to admit I've never even thought about drag/drop for WP. The only one I do use is a nice plugin that allows you to rearrange your post order, but that's about it.

Anyone have experience using headway? what's good/bad?

Haven't used headway in a year or so, but when I was messing around with it, it seemed pretty nice. It still requires a bit of familiarity, so be prepared for a learning curve, but it had a lot of good features for a WYSIWYG editor, and was mostly drag and drop.

Back then, they were preparing a marketplace for modules or something, pre-built templates, and other add-ons. Don't know what's come of it since then, but have heard mostly good things.

It was definitely a lot better than the other WP frameworks, IMO.

But nothing beats just building your own shit from under the hood. Everything else just seems restricting.
