Check out this behaviour. I created a new campaign in adwords, to send traffic via one of my domains directly to a copeac offer through a redirect. I included a subid in the copeac link so that I can track every click (it uses a unique subid for every click that goes through my domain), and I passed the adwords {keyword} in my URL. Then I added a few thousand keywords to the campaign.
15 minutes later, I checked my copeac stats, and almost shit myself when I saw I had over 2000 clicks (and no conversions)! So I went to my own tracking to see what was going on, saw that they were all from the same IP, and each hit had a different keyword and no referrer. Looked up the IP and saw it was owned by Google.
So... apparently when you pass the {keyword} in your destination URL, google actually tests the URL with every one of your keywords, which makes sense. And because I had a different redirect URL for every request, they all got sent to copeac too. Once I noticed this I got rid of my unique subid from the redirect temporarily, and google is smart enough not to request all the copeac offer pages over and over again with the same URL, so at least copeac won't be getting hit for every keyword, but damn my stats will be all screwed up there now. Hopefully they don't think I was trying to DOS them
