Yahoo finally pulls the plug on YPN

I am pretty sure it is not an Aprils Fools Joke.

It was a year or more in the making and Yahoo cant get anything done.

Yahoo Directory = Fail
Yahoo Search = Fail
Yahoo Ads = Fail
YPN = Fail

Officially links stop generating money April 30th and all publishers are supposed to be paid out by May 31st.

They are suggesting Chitika as an alternative....

Yeah, got the email yesterday. It's interesting that the program never got out of Beta after all these years. YPN paid shit compared to Adsense. Hope they pay me the balance left in my account.
 
They're closing YSM in '10 too. It used to be good until their review people turned it into a huge joke. Glad it's all coming to an end.
 
Yahoo are a great example of believing your own hype. I hate the words "Epic Fail", but the rate and size of their continual failure is of absolutely epic proportions.

Turned down $5k for mine back when it was brand new. When it first launched I was getting $6-$7 clicks on average, banked hard off it for a while.
 
I find it kind of strange how they were never able to payout like adsense. Yet when you compare their paid sponsored ads and adwords they are pretty neck in neck
