So I've been reading everything I can, and came up across this idea:

http://www.wickedfire.com/affiliate...rating-high-converting-zip-email-submits.html

Cliffs: exploit recent news headlines, make a poll about the topic, have poll redirect to zip/email submit, launch inexpensive PPC campaign, profit.

The stars ended up aligning and I found a great offer right in line with the niche I've been targeting, found a great news story, etc.

The question: are zip/email submits not allowed on adwords nowadays? And as of yesterday, facebook as well? I keep seeing this being alluded to...

Alternatively, are "VOTE TO WIN A $500 GIFT CARD" style landing pages what's not allowed?

I think it's a genius idea and could probably be adapted even if the above limitations exist, but I want to make sure I'm doing it right first.

This would be easier to search for if the word "zip" wasn't too short :p

bump this. I think at this point zip/email submits are out for facebook. Does anyone know what's up with them on adwords? Is google really banning for running these kinds of offers?

Lol this is so old school. You learn this in PPC coach?

Nways I think Google is only banhamering offers that directly take consumer's $$, ie rebills.

Only way to find out is to try - worst they'll do is just disapprove the ads. Banhammer goes out when you cloak or change url redirection after approval.

Haha. Learned it from that wickedfire thread i linked to in the OP. It seemed like a good idea so I figured I'd run with it.

I don't plan on running any rebills so I guess I'll try. Thanks. I'd +rep you, but I'm too new to really fully exist over here at wickedfire

it is a good idea and there are tons of other traffic sources besides Adwords and FB that it will work on.. the key is getting high CTR/low CPC, email submits convert anywhere from 10c EPC to 50c EPC

are you saying that adwords is out for email/zip submits as well? I've been reading shit for like 2 weeks now, i was about ready to start with adwords

i guess i could start looking at like plentyoffish or myspace or something too

I haven't ran any email/zip submits on Adwords so I am not sure but I know they will ban you for running rebills and *every* email/zip submit has rebills in the backend so I think it would be safe to say yes, they frown upon it.. give it a try anyways, what have you got to lose?

wait i'm confused, how are zip/email submits related to rebills? I thought rebills involved the user putting their credit card in at some point

Zip/email submits usually have the user go through a long coregistration path, that sometimes includes rebills, but also to get that $100 gift card they have to complete offers (the offer wall). Try one out once and see.
