I can't edit my post but here is what it was gonna say

"Edit: Okay so the reason for the ads being disapproved just changed, it now says the Landing page is non compliant, that's very odd considering not one of these have ever gotten an ad disapproved in the past. I don't see anything wrong with the LP, it's not redirecting even from Canada."

Ben, you've got a PM. Thanks

So do you :)

So we've discovered that our users have been tricked into clicking certain IAB's so we're forced to change our guidelines. Here are the new changes for IAB sized banners:

- must have a border
- ad text cannot be entirely blue
- ad text must not be underlined as to appear as a link (ex. click here)

Basically trying to reduce these banners from looking like a part of POF.com

Thanks!

What if I have a an ad with no border, all blue, and a set of double d's underlined?

Zeus will descend from the heavens and strike down your ad with a master bolt?

.. unless you're serious, in which case, email me at ben@pof.com w/ your graphic :)

Just to confirm that this is still the case: if I transfer my funding source to my company American Express, am I going to get hit with a currency exchange fee since POF is based in Canada?

Also, I know this has been mentioned in this thread, but are there any updates regarding demographic numbers ala Facebook? Targeting BBW females who make <$20k a year with no car, smoke, and drink heavily while searching for intimate encounters with their >18 y/o kids is all well and good, but I'd prefer to know demo numbers straight away instead of waiting to see if I get any impressions.

Yes, American Express cards will get charged a currency exchange fee. Use Visa or MC and make sure you select the box that says "yes this is a US card".

No impressions estimator :(

you call it tricked, i call it good marketing.

1px border ok? can a word which isn't a call to action be underlined? eg: singles?

I don't understand why having an underline on a call to action would be unacceptable. It looks like a link and it IS a link... I'm confused as to how that matters lol.

You'd be surprised at how many users would think your link is OUR link. Just doing what we can to keep users from getting confused, that's all.

Blerg, I already have too many frequent flier miles. Plum benefits would be better.

Anywho, just to confirm one thing with respect to creative-level targeting: if I wanted to target specific income brackets, I leave income blank on the default creative, and then make individual creatives for [(all income brackets) -1] and then the default creative would only show for the remaining demographic. Is this correct?

Correct. Technically, if you had all the income targeting covered w/ your individual creatives, then the default creative will receive no impressions. Creatives with targeting in them takes priority for impression delivery over the default creative.

I'm using POF uploader and wondering... How am I setting up this targeting stuff? I thought the purpose of the uploader was to help you create a ton of ads to split test targeting settings... but it seems I'm only able to have one set of targeting data per campaign in POF?

That is correct. Each campaign has it's own targeting set, if you'd like to split test different demographics, set up different campaigns. I don't know how you'd do it any other way?
