blog network owners - is it a bad idea to submit sitemaps?

I saw you can submit sitemaps with google webmaster tools, and now video sitemaps as well.

It helps you get indexed faster/better - but if you are running a blog farm/blog network that can be considered 'shady' - it's probably not a good idea to use these tools right?

If you submit all your autoblogs and one off blogs to google, doesn't it just link your stuff together so it can all get deindexed at once?

Firstly I wouldn't even dare to add any of my sites in Webmaster tools. For the reason you stated above.

I am assuming you have added yours in there?
It just gives them more information then they need.

And also I disagree with this. Once there are links pointing towards your site you are gong to be indexed, and stay indexed. There's no such thing as faster/better indexing.

I think all blog networks are considered shady but if you are small time I don't think Google will have any reason to deal with you.

Most people leave a footprint. If they want to find you, they probably will without relying on any of the data you've supplied them from Webmaster Tools
