Hello All,
Just would like to know which type of categories and offers are the best for direct linking for pay per click and pay per view campaigns. I already know google adwords doesn't like direct linking so take them out of the proportion. But using other paid traffic companies.

This should probably go into the Newbie thread but I will bite.

Of course, with any campaign there are going to be a multitude of variables (targets, ads, KWs, traffic source, etc.) but to keep it simple enough I would follow the following strategies:

Use short form lead gen offers. (dating, submits, 1 page registrations).

Find advertiser landing pages with clear calls to action as to not to confuse the user.

Ask your preferred AM.

Test, test, test and then test some more.

If you're direct linking with PPV, the offer page better be have a VERY clear call to action and be very well targeted. Remember, with PPC, people are clicking on your link because they are at least somewhat interested in what you're offering. With PPV, you're interrupting them. So, your offer better catch their attention and be targeted to them very well.

ie.. popping up a "Win an iPod" offer over apple.com or something like that.

direct linking means you send offers straight to affiliate without coking the offer through your landing page first?
